With over 23 years of experience in the hair industry, Winson Kow is recognised for his artistry, precision, and passion for creative hair design. Since graduating with a Diploma in Hairdressing in 2004, Winson has continuously refined his craft through advanced education and international training.
Throughout his career, he has completed professional certifications with renowned institutions such as Wella and Schwarzkopf, specialising in colour and perm techniques. He also obtained Master Colour Education from L’Oréal Professionnel and further enhanced his creative vision through the Creative Salon Course at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in London.
Winson began his journey at a young age, gaining extensive experience styling models for hair shows, magazine editorials, fashion shows, musicals, and major industry events. His work has been featured in notable events such as Miss Malaysia 2010, KL Fashion Week, Stylo Fashion Show, and Bebe Fashion Show.
His portfolio also includes styling for well-known personalities including Amber Chia, Anita Sarawak, Choo Mi Mi, Daphne Iking, Wu Qi Xian, Charmaine Poo, Chan Hew Dong, Angel Wong Chui Ling, Chris Tong Bing Yu, Steve Yap, and Jacky Kam Kah Kee.
Winson’s dedication to creative excellence has earned him numerous industry recognitions. At the 2010 Malaysia Hair Awards, he received 1st Runner-Up in the All Senior Category, 1st Runner-Up in the Senior Ladies Combination Category, and 2nd Runner-Up in the Senior Ladies Individual Category. In the same year, he was also awarded 2nd Runner-Up in the Creative Colour & Cut Award at the Asia Hairdesigner Association Awards (5th Asia Hairdresser Festival).
In 2015, Winson represented Malaysia as the sole participant at the Asia Hairdesigner Association 10th AHF Competition in Shanghai, where he won the prestigious Asia Grand Champion – Top Artistic Award.
Today, through Winson Kow Hairtistic, he continues to share his passion for creativity and craftsmanship, leading a team dedicated to delivering personalised hair artistry and exceptional salon experiences.
